Event Schedule / Logistics Information

Thursday, Dec 5th @Twitter

Kickoff event coordinated with TEDWomen, hosted by Juliet de Baubigny, Adam Messinger and Pat Mitchell

  • 7:00pm Doors open for attendees (food and drink provided)

  • 8:00pm Short program (3 speakers + 2 short videos)

  • 8:30pm Team Building & Brainstorming hackers are encouraged to visit the stations of each non­profit partner to learn more about the challenge and build teams to devise solutions. Print­outs of the challenge description will be available at the event

  • 10:00pm Event Close

Friday, Dec 6th @OneKingsLane

Hack Night with API talks

  • 6:00pm Arrival and team building (dinner provided)

  • 7:00pm Welcome address – Ali Pincus (Founder, One Kings Lane)

  • 7:15pm Work sessions and API talks

  • 10:30pm Event close

Saturday, Dec 7th @Twitter

Hacking and Awards

  • 9:00am Doors open (breakfast provided) and hacking begins

  • 12:00pm Lunch address – Dick Costolo (CEO, Twitter)

  • 4:30pm All hacking comes to an end; judges arrive

  • 5:00pm Pitch presentations begin ­ 15­20 hacker teams present solutions to a set of 5 challenges

  • 6:00pm Judges return to boardroom for deliberations; select 1 winner per challenge

  • 7:00pm Awards ceremony

  • 7:30pm Event close

 
Additional Details & Location

Attendees will check in at the ground floor and will receive #CHIMEHACK badges. Please note all attendees are required to wear badges at all times while at Twitter and One Kings Lane.

Twitter and One Kings Lane are located in the Market Square building at 1355 Market Street, San Francisco, between 9th Street and 10th Street. Parking is available at the Civic Center (garage entrance is on McAllister St, between Polk St. and Larkin St). The lot is open until 12:00 AM.

Public Transportation:

  • BART or Muni train: exit at Civic Center and walk up Market St (5­10 min walk)

  • Muni Buses: There are several bus lines (the 6, 71, 21, etc.) that stop right outside of the building

  • Caltrain: Get off at the 4th and King station and you can take the Muni 83X bus which goes directly to the building (83X bus runs about every 20­ 25 min)

  • Bike storage: There is no bike storage. If you are bringing a bike, you must lock it on the street at your own risk.
